Trey Gowdy slams the media for abandoning its role as a neutral referee — FOX News

“Sunday Night in America” host Trey Gowdy opened his second show on Sunday with a sports metaphor to illustrate the dangerous sentiment overtaking modern political discourse in how the news media is no longer acting as a neutral referee but as a cheerleader for one side.

  1. Kind of late. They abandoned that like five or six years ago, at least that’s when I noticed, they probably did it long before that and we’re just better at hiding it. It’s been out in the open for about half a decade now though, getting sick of people like Trey Gowdy acting like it’s new. I’m glad they want to talk about it, but talk about it how it really is, it’s something that’s been going on for years on check. It’s a far bigger problem dim the newness ascribed to it would imply. Thanks for sharing by the way, the negativity in my comment isn’t directed at you, just expressing the thoughts I have no reaction to this. I get frustrated with things like that, so much of it going on right now with supposedly new covid “revelations” I knew a year ago, that thousands or millions of Americans already knew that far back… and the supposedly New Revelations about how 2020 was someone week-by-week, even though I’ve known most of it since late November and early December, will have millions of others oh, kind of irritating to watch the corporate media finally catch up, or rather be forced to catch up, and then act like they’re covering it for the first time. We the people have been covering it for a lot longer, and we’re the reason they’re forced to cover it now. They deserve no credit. Same as with Trey Gowdy here deserving very little if any credit for pointing out the state of the media, it’s frustrating because it feels like he’s just stating the obvious, and it’s been true for years now at this point so why does he want to say it is if it’s a new thing. He says it’s overtaking the media industry. That’s not true. It overtook the media industry years ago, this is several stages beyond that.
